The impact a great friendship has on your life should never be taken for granted. I mention this because as some may know, I recently moved to Hollywood, California. There’s a billboard I see on the way to work each day that is a vodka ad, and the caption says “It’s ok, we haven’t heard of you, either.” And advertisers concluded that that would sell the product! It’s such an attitude in Hollywood, it’s like people love pretending enemies are friends, as long as they can temporarily keep them from lonely or get them into the latest club. Who cares if they are back-biting, self-seeking, unloyal, bitter…. I mean, in reality, those people make you feel awful. Why put up with it? Because you’ve been told your whole life you aren’t worth more? Because you actually believe it? Let me tell you, you owe it to yourself to demand friends who treat you well. And you owe it to everyone else to be that kind of friend. It may not be the norm, but it should be.
This is my friend Mouth. She is exactly the kind of person you should be friends with; lovely, fun, loyal, sweet, stands up for what she believes in, and is always there for her friends. Plus she’s the best to build forts with. I’m lucky to call her a friend. And here she is….
(PS: I know she’s gorgeous, but don’t get any ideas… she’s a taken lady!) 🙂
